Imido-pyridine Ti(IV) compounds: synthesis of unusual imido-amido heterobimetallic derivatives.
The reaction of lithiated picolines and [TiCl3(η(5)-C5Me5)] leads to several bridging or terminal imido compounds, each of which can be selectively formed by controlling the stoichiometry and temperature. Specifically, the dinuclear imido-bridged [TiCl(η(5)-C5Me5)(μ-NR)]2 (1a, NR = 2-imido-3-picoline; 1b, NR = 2-imido-5-picoline) species and the unusual Ti-Li imido-amido heterobimetallic comple...
متن کاملCH activation with an O-donor iridium-methoxo complex.
A thermally and air stable O-donor, iridium-methoxo complex is reported that undergoes stoichiometric, intermolecular C-H activation of benzene with co-generation of methanol and the iridium-phenyl complex.
متن کاملCorrelation between N 1s XPS binding energy and bond distance in metal amido, imido, and nitrido complexes.
Synchrotron-based X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is used to measure N 1s binding energies of several metal amido, imido, and nitrido complexes of group 5 and 6 metals. The N 1s binding energy decreases as the formal M-N bond order increases. A simple correlation between the contraction of the M-N bond and the lowering of binding energy is also observed. This correlation supports a notion that...
متن کاملPiano-Stool Lutetium Amido and Imido Compounds Supported by a Constrained Bis(oxazoline)cyclopentadienyl Ligand.
{Bo(M)Cp(tet)}Lu(CH2Ph)2 (1; Bo(M)Cp(tet) = MeC(Ox(Me2))2C5Me4; Ox(Me2) = 4,4-dimethyl-2-oxazoline) was prepared in 95% yield from the reaction of Bo(M)Cp(tet)H and Lu(CH2Ph)3THF3. Compound 1 reacts with 1 or 2 equiv of H2NCH2R (R = C6H5, 1-C10H7) to give the corresponding imido complexes [{Bo(M)Cp(tet)}LuNCH2R]2 (R = C6H5 (2a), 1-C10H7 (2b)) or amido complexes {Bo(M)Cp(tet)}Lu(NHCH2R)2 (R = C6...
متن کاملCatalytic hydroboration by an imido-hydrido complex of Mo(IV).
The imido-hydrido complex (ArN)Mo(H)(Cl)(PMe(3))(3) catalyses a variety of hydroboration reactions, including the first example of catalytic addition of HBCat to nitriles to form the bis(borylated) amines RCH(2)N(BCat)(2). The latter species easily undergoes chemoselective coupling with aldehydes R'C(O)H to yield imines RCH(2)N=C(H)R'.
